Performing the Sunnas in the Mosque
Question
A hadith contains the command to set aside places of prayer (masjid) in homes and to pray in them. Should one pray awwabin, tahajjud and the like in them, or also the emphasized and non-emphasized sunnas of the five daily prayers and nafl prayers?
Answer
The best course is indeed to pray the emphasized sunnas at home — especially even those prayed before the fard; but if there is a likelihood of missing them, one should pray them in the mosque.
