Separating two suras across two rak‘as
Question
In the maghrib prayer the imam recited “Idha ja’a” (إِذَا جَآءَ) in the first rak‘a and “Qul huwa Allah” (قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ) in the second. Is it not prohibited to do so?
Answer
If he did so intentionally, it is makruh tanzihi; if it happened out of forgetfulness, it is not even makruh.
