The disapproval of lengthening the recitation beyond the measure of the sunna

Question

In al-Durr al-Mukhtar, lengthening the recitation beyond the measure of the sunna is called makruh tahrimi, and the qualification of whether the muqtadis (followers) are pleased or displeased is also mentioned there. If the muqtadis are not pleased, the matter is understandable. But if they are pleased, what is the reason — why is it then makruh tahrimi?
