A Second Congregation with the Original Form Changed
Question
If a second congregation is not held in the original form (hay’a ula), will it be permissible in the mosque or not?
Answer
According to one narration from Imam Abu Yusuf ﵀, it will not be makruh. However, from the zahir al-riwaya (the principal transmission of the school) it is clear that it is makruh without qualification; but between [a congregation] with the form changed and one without the form changed there will be a difference: makruh tanzihi and makruh tahrimi.
