The Imam Holding a Second Congregation

Question

In a mosque where the adhan and the congregation have already taken place, is it permissible to hold the adhan and the congregation in it again or not? (2) If someone held the adhan and the congregation without the imam’s permission, may the imam then hold the adhan and the congregation again or not?

Answer

If the appointed daily imam and followers (muqtadis) held the adhan and the congregation at the fixed time, then holding the congregation again in this mosque is now makruh. (2) If, however, people of another neighbourhood held it, then it is correct for the people of this neighbourhood to hold the congregation again.
