After Sixty: Praying at Home or in Congregation?
Question
May a person after the age of sixty perform his prayers at home? See [the words of] Hazrat ‘Ali ﵁ in Nahj al-Balagha, a book of the Shi‘a.
Answer
Whoever is unable to go to the mosque should pray at his home, whether he is under sixty or over: [the ruling] depends on the excuse, not on age. As for Nahj al-Balagha, it is a bundle of lies and slander; the Rafidis have attributed countless false statements to Hazrat ‘Ali ﵁.
