One’s own mosque takes precedence over a mosque on the way
Question
A person went somewhere on some business and, having finished it, is returning home (he is also a regular worshipper of the very mosque near his home). On the way the adhan is called. This person has enough time and is certain that if he reaches his local mosque he will catch the congregation together with the opening takbir (takbir al-ula). In which mosque is it better for him to pray: the one on the way where the adhan was called, or the one of which he is a regular worshipper? Kindly grant an answer.
Answer
Since on reaching his own mosque he will catch the congregation from the opening takbir, there is no need to abandon his own mosque merely because he heard the adhan of some [other] mosque on the way.
