Holding the Congregation in the Mosque Courtyard

What is the ruling on holding the congregation in the courtyard (sahn) of the mosque, especially during the hot days, for the sake of comfort?

Answer

Prayer and congregation in the courtyard of the mosque — that is, in the unroofed part of the mosque — are, without any hesitation, valid and correct.
