Women folding the hands on the chest in prayer

Question: what hadith is there about women folding their hands on the chest, and in which book is it?

Answer

In “Nayl al-Awtar” (vol. 2, p. 78) it says: [ar]عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ ﵁ قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى يَدِهِ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى صَدْرِهِ[/ar] “From Wa’il ibn Hujr ﵁, who said: ‘I prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he placed his right hand on his left hand on his chest.’” (“Sharh al-Tirmidhi” of Abu al-Tayyib, p. 277.)
