Saying “Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah” at the end of the adhan

Question

If, while responding to the adhan, after the last words “la ilaha illa Llah” (لا إله إلا الله) a person says “Muhammadun rasulu Llah” (محمد رسول الله), is this permissible or not?

Answer

This is not established at this place. Otherwise, just as believing in “la ilaha illa Llah” is fard, so too believing in “Muhammadun rasulu Llah” is fard.
