Raising the Hands (Raf‘ al-Yadayn) in the Supplication after the Adhan

Question

What is the ruling on raising the hands at the time of the supplication of the adhan?

Answer

Specifically for this occasion, no narration has come to my notice either about raising the hands or about not raising them. However, since raising the hands for supplication in general is mustahabb, here too, if someone acts upon this mustahabb, there is room for it; and if he does not raise them, there is no harm in that either.
