Talking during the Adhan and Responding to It

Question

It is written in “Bahar-e Shari‘at” (“The Spring of the Shari‘a”) that the one who talks during the adhan will not have his end upon faith (iman).

Answer

One should respond to the adhan and stop talking; it is a disapproved way of acting that talking goes on and the adhan is not responded to. But it is wrong [to say] that such a person’s end will not be upon faith.
