The Qurʼan Came Through Jibril, While the Torah Came Without an Intermediary
Question
Question: Respected Mufti! Praise be to Allah, I am a Muslim, and I regard the Noble Qur'an with the utmost reverence, and it is on this basis that we act. But sometimes, on reflection, thoughts come to mind that call for consideration. It therefore seemed fitting to lay this before you, so that I might learn your correct opinion on this matter. The matter is this: Allah Most High sent down great and glorious prophets ﵈; among them are four great ones, whose scriptures are also held to be great.
Answer
The Torah, as a scripture in the form of tablets, was given to Hazrat Musa ﵇ — just as a person might be made responsible for some place and handed a written set of instructions to act upon; thus Hazrat Musa ﵇ acted upon it and called his community to act upon it.
