Examples From a Well-Known Person’s “Tafsir”
Question
A certain well-known person’s work, published under the title of a Qur’anic tafsir, [states]: he called the Creator of the universe, the Glorified and Exalted (Subhan Subbuh), “Bhan-mati” (a figure from Indian folklore, a female conjurer — that is, he held creation to be a mere illusion); he likened revelation (wahy)
Answer
I have not seen this tafsir; its true nature can only be known by examining it. As for the words you have quoted — what relation do they bear to the doctrine of Ahl al-Sunna wa’l-Jama‘a, let alone to Islam itself? To call this a tafsir is wrong; it is nothing but tahrif (distortion).
