How Did Satan Mislead Adam ﵇?

Question

How did Satan enter Paradise in order to mislead Hazrat Adam ﵇, given that Satan’s entry into Paradise is impossible?

Answer

According to one opinion, the decree for Satan’s expulsion from Paradise had already been issued but had not yet been carried out, so he found the opportunity [to act]. According to another opinion, he merely cast a whispered suggestion (waswasa), for which his own presence there was not necessary — a whispered suggestion can be cast from afar as well.
