Is Allah’s Wrath Greater Upon Disbelievers Than Upon Muslims?

Question

To what extent has Allah the Exalted expressed wrath toward a disobedient Muslim, and to what extent toward the disbelievers (kafirs)?

Answer

The wrath upon the disbelievers is so great that they will remain in Hell forever, and their punishment will not be lessened. The wrath upon sinning Muslims is not so great — they will be forgiven, including through intercession (shafa‘a).
