Desire on One Side Suffices for Prohibition by Affinity

Question

A woman was, through her relationship with Khushhal, the wife of Zayd’s paternal uncle. Zayd was 21/22 years old. Zayd was poor and hard-up. She would call Zayd and feed him good food and treat him with great hospitality. She often asked Zayd, “What do you consider me to be?” Zayd would say, “I consider you equal to my mother.” She would fall silent. As usual, one day she called Zayd from his house, fed him and insisted, “Rest here.” Having eaten, Zayd fell asleep in her room.

Answer

This wicked woman, by this base act of hers, has not only piled up a heap of sin for herself but has also ruined your life. Although you had absolutely no such intention, and suppose that when she came and clung to you, bared her body and made every effort at penetration, you felt no desire at that time and Allah Most High protected you — yet she certainly had desire.
