The Name Was Changed in the Offer and Acceptance of the Nikah

Question

The nikah of Salma Begum, daughter of Amir Ahmad, with Maqsud Ahmad, son of Ashfaq Ahmad, has been recorded in the qadi’s register. When the agent and the witnesses went to Salma Begum for her acceptance, the agent ‘Abbas Ahmad and the witnesses Manzur Ahmad and Shakur Ahmad, while explaining the details to Salma Begum, gave the name Afzal Ahmad instead of Maqsud Ahmad. The nikah that was performed was performed with Maqsud Ahmad, with whom it had been settled.

Answer

The girl gave permission for a nikah with Afzal Ahmad, and the nikah was performed with Maqsud Ahmad. Then, if on learning of this the girl expressed her consent to the nikah with this Maqsud Ahmad, the nikah with Maqsud Ahmad became valid.
