Mentioning Maintenance (Nafaqa) and the Like in the Nikah Khutba

Question

Is it necessary to mention food and maintenance between the offer and the acceptance? And will the nikah take place without it?

Answer

Mentioning these things in the nikah is not necessary; the nikah is valid even without mentioning them. These things become binding (lazim) even without being mentioned.
