The Eid prayer takes precedence over the funeral prayer

Question

If a funeral bier (janaza) is present and it is also the time of the Eid prayer, will the funeral prayer be performed first or the Eid prayer? If the Eid prayer is performed first, should the khutba be before the funeral prayer or after it?

Answer

First the Eid prayer should be performed, then the funeral prayer, and then the khutba should be delivered (“Sakb al-Anhur”, vol. 1, p. 187).
