Saying Twelve Takbirs in the Eid Prayer
Question
A student is a Hanafi, but all the worshippers of his village are people who do not follow taqlid. For the Eid prayer they compelled him, and so instead of six takbirs he said twelve. Is there leeway for him, given that he was compelled?
Answer
There is leeway. But one thing is surprising: the muqtadis (followers) make the imam subordinate to themselves. If they insist on praying behind him, then let them pray following him.
