The takbirs of the sermon of the two Eids

Question

In the first sermon (khutba) of the two Eids there are nine takbirs and in the second seven. Should these takbirs be said consecutively? And is what is meant by takbir only “Allahu akbar”, or the full takbir al-tashriq?

Answer

What is meant by this takbir is the full takbir al-tashriq; in the sermon these takbirs are to be said consecutively.
