If the muftis differ about the permissibility of Jumu'a
Question
In a village Jumu'a is prayed according to the fatwa of one reliable mufti, while another reliable mufti has written that it is impermissible. As a result the disagreement has grown, and the stability and order of the madrasa have begun to suffer. Would it be correct, in view of the unity of the village and the stability of the madrasa, for both parties to perform Jumu'a according to [the fatwa of] the first mufti?
Answer
If in their view the first fatwa is correct and they hold him in trust and devotion, then they should act on it.
