The Jumu'a Adhan before Zawal

Question

Nowadays it is customary for the Jumu'a adhan to be given at 12½ o'clock, while the time of zawal lasts until 12:37; after the adhan people begin praying the sunna. Is the adhan at 12½ o'clock valid? And prostrating at the time of zawal is haram — is there a concession (rukhsa) for Jumu'a in this, or is it prohibited? Please write with evidence.

Answer

According to the correct position among the Hanafis, no prayer at all is valid at the time of the sun's istiwa' (zenith); the sunna of Jumu'a is included in this as well. 'Allama Shami ﵀, discussing this issue, writes: [ar]لكن شراح الهداية انتصروا لقول الإمام (وهو عدم جواز الصلاة وقت الاستواء)
