Dar al-harb and dar al-Islam
Question
Question: Shortly before blessed Ramadan this humble one had a doubt about a few words in the definition of dar al-Islam and dar al-harb. Through you I resolved those very words, but by mistake, apart from the words “and the passing of judgements by some according to the custom of the Tatars” (والحكم من البعض برسم التتار), I did not put a number on “Banu Qurayza — with Judaism” (بني قريظة باليهودية), and the meaning of this text has not become clear.
Answer
(1) This is originally the text of al-Fatawa al-Bazzaziyya, but Mawlana ‘Abd al-Hayy ﵀ quoted it in a somewhat abridged form, and in places there are also scribal errors. Indeed, the cause of the text you asked about not being understood is precisely this scribal error.
