One who dies crushed is a martyr
Question
Shahid was a famous wrestler who was lying in wait, by his strength, for a chance to defeat Pharaoh. Suddenly the truck on which Shahid worked collided with a tree, and the wrestler was injured and could not survive. Would you please write whether the wrestler attained the station of martyrdom (shahada) or not?
Answer
One who dies by falling or by being crushed will also receive the reward of martyrdom; he should not now be taunted — that is a very wrong way to behave. In reality there is no decrease or increase in a lifespan: as much as has been written, exactly that much it remains. However, the lives of some people have baraka (blessing)
