Ruling on killing upon seeing one’s wife committing zina

Question

Question: If a man saw his wife committing zina with some Muslim or non-Muslim and, in anger, killed his wife and the fornicator, what is the ruling of the Shari‘a on this killer? Given that in the Shari‘a the right to give judgement belongs to the ruler of the time, and in our country it is evident that judgements are not given according to the Shari‘a?

Answer

There is a detailed treatment of this issue, which is given in Fatawa ‘Alamgiri, vol.
