Are Two Dams Due from One Performing Tamattu‘ or Qiran?

Question: Is one sacrifice wajib for one performing qiran and one performing tamattu‘, or two?

Answer

One sacrifice — the dam of qiran or the dam of tamattu‘ — is wajib; then, if on arriving there he becomes a resident (muqim, not a traveller) and possesses the nisab, one sacrifice will be wajib because of his possessing the nisab.
