Dam for Not Performing the Farewell Tawaf
Question
(1) Zayd came away without the farewell tawaf (wada‘), and a dam (expiatory sacrifice) became wajib upon him. Should he offer the sacrifice in Jeddah, or after reaching his homeland? (2) Zahid was ready for the farewell tawaf, but a telegram arrived: “The ship is ready, come at once.” The pilgrims boarded a lorry, and Zahid boarded too. Is the dam lifted from him because of this excuse or not?
