Welcoming the new century

Question

Question: Is it correct to hold gatherings and processions to welcome the fifteenth century? Is there any proof for it from the Qur’an, the Hadith and fiqh? What is the ruling concerning those who do this?

Answer

I have not found any proof for this anywhere in the proofs of the Shari‘a.
