Joining the Jamiat al-Ulama

Question

Question: What is the ruling on joining the organization called the Jamiat al-Ulama? Should the common people be kept away and forbidden from joining it or not?

Answer

Obtain the constitution of the Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and study it; if anything in it requires investigation, or some particular stance of the Jamiat gives cause for hesitation, then ask about that.
