A way to save land from the consolidation of landholdings
Question
Question: Zayd has a plot of land which he has held since his grandfather’s time, and he has also planted trees on it, which are now about 20 years old. Two years ago it became known that this land is uncultivated wasteland, and therefore it is the property of the village community and at the time of the consolidation of landholdings it will pass out of Zayd’s ownership.
Answer
If he is the owner of that land, and this land owned by him can be saved in this way, then there is latitude to adopt such a stratagem in order to save it.
