Refusing to forgive one who asks forgiveness for the sake of Allah, and forgiving for money
Question
Where forgiveness could not be obtained when it was asked for the sake of God and the Messenger, forgiveness was granted after a few rupees were given. What is your advice in this regard?
Answer
If someone commits some fault and asks for forgiveness, the noblest thing is to forgive him, especially when he asks for forgiveness for the sake of Allah: [ar]وَلْيَعْفُوا۟ وَلْيَصْفَحُوٓا۟[/ar] “Let them pardon and overlook” (the verse) (Surah al-Nur, 24:22).
