Helping an adulterer is also a sin; severing relations with such a person

Question

A man openly commits adultery (zina), although he has two married wives; still he coaxes and lures other women and brings them home. His parents and others also take part in this deed of his. Will the sin of this adultery be on him alone, or also on those who are helping him in this deed? Also, is it proper to keep relations with such a person and to eat and drink together, or not?

Answer

Committing adultery is an unlawful deed. Whoever helps him in it to any degree will also be a partner in the sin. It is necessary for all the members of the family to restrain him. If his reform is expected from severing relations, they should stop eating, drinking and the like at his place.
