Obeying parents in the matter of marriage

Question

A young man is married, but a girl loves him and says, “It would be better if you married me.” However, his parents do not allow this. The girl is an adult. Is permission needed to do a permissible thing?

Answer

The parents must not be displeased for the sake of what this girl says.
