Whose rank is higher — the father’s or the mother’s?

According to the Word of the Lord and the hadiths, whose right, rank and standing is greater — the father’s or the mother’s?

Answer

In terms of respect the father’s rank is higher, and in terms of service the mother’s right is greater.
