Disobedience to the father

Question

Question: My father has come to think ill of me. He sent word: “Leave the house and fend for yourself.” At present I have four children, and my salary is three hundred rupees. I have taken a separate shop, and now I keep giving some financial help. Am I disobedient?

Answer

Under these circumstances you are not disobedient to him. Keep serving him in person and with wealth according to your ability, and keep making duʿa for him as well.
