Treatment through a jinn or fairy that has come upon someone

Question: In our area there is a young man who is very virtuous in character, lives simply and is employed. It is well known about him that the “shadow” of some deceased saint (wali) is upon him: the saint “appears” upon him, describes in detail various illnesses, the effects of possession and mutual disputes, and also gives treatment. Hundreds of people have been cured; people give donations of their own accord; he makes no demand; there is no act of shirk in the treatment.
