The ruling on sorcery

Question: Is it permissible for a Muslim to practise sorcery, and what is the ruling on one who performs sorcery?

Answer

(1) Practising sorcery (sihr) is a major sin; so it is in “Sharh al-Fiqh al-Akbar”.
