Hijab of a friend’s wife

Question

(1) From whom is hijab permissible in the Shari‘a? (2) Zayd and ‘Umar are two friends of good character, regular in prayer and fasting. May they bring their wives before one another?

Answer

(1) Hijab is obligatory from anyone with whom nikah is permissible. (2) No.
