Treating a maidservant like a slave-girl

Question

May a slave-girl be treated like a wife without nikah? And if the slave is a man, should he be treated like a servant?

Answer

The slave-girl with whom such treatment is permitted does not exist here nowadays. Such treatment of a maidservant or a hired female employee is haram. A male slave does not exist either.
