Women wearing close-fitting trousers gathered at the ankles

Question

Question: What is the ruling on women wearing close-fitting trousers gathered at the ankles (cut on the bias) and praying in them? Is there any defect in the prayer because of them, and if so, what? Also, is there any sin in wearing them, and if so, to what extent?

Answer

Prayer in such clothing is valid, but since the shape of the body shows through it, caution is needed, especially at a time when non-mahram members of the family also live in the same house, lest one fall under the threat (wa‘id)
