Wearing Terylene cloth, a boat-shaped cap and a long shirt
Question
Is it permissible to use Terylene (polyester) cloth or not? Is it also permissible to wear a boat-shaped cap and a long shirt or not? Is there any dislikedness (karaha) in wearing them or not?
Answer
If there is nothing impure in Terylene, the body is covered in it, and it is not a distinctive symbol (shi‘ar) of the fasiqs or the kafirs, then wearing it is correct. The boat-shaped cap is correct, and the long shirt is also correct; however, adopting the dress of the Sunna and the dress of the righteous (sulaha’) is a higher thing.
