Selling the meat of large animals as goat meat

Question

(1) One person, or two to four people, do the following: they sell goat meat, and along with it they sell minced meat of large animals, that is, of bulls, buffaloes and the like, calling it goat meat. And despite doing so, these people give zakat of their wealth, offer sacrifice, perform Hajj and so on. Is this correct or not? (2)

Answer

Lying and deceiving are haram. If zakat is given and Hajj is performed with that money, the obligation is discharged; repentance from the lying and deception is necessary. (2) If they themselves do not deceive, then the responsibility for those who buy from them and deceive does not lie upon them, even if they know that those people will deceive.
