A seller’s imposing a condition after the sale has become binding

Question

‘Umar sold land to Zayd without any condition, but after taking the money ‘Umar is not handing over the land and is imposing a condition in it. What is the ruling of the Shari‘a on ‘Umar’s imposing such a condition?

Answer

After the offer (ijab) and acceptance (qabul) of the sale have become final, imposing any condition is not correct: now no right remains.
