Selling Snakeskin

Question

Here there is a trade in snakeskin. Its form is this: a non-Muslim community catches snakes alive and, after rendering the snake unconscious, removes its skin; Muslims buy the raw skins and sell them after tanning. Is this buying and selling permissible or not?

Answer

Buying and selling raw snakeskin before tanning is not right; let it be bought and sold after tanning.
