A non-Muslim selling meat slaughtered according to the Shari‘a
Question
If some non-Muslim buys meat or a slaughtered animal at the slaughterhouse, brings it to his shop and sells it, should a Muslim buy meat from this non-Muslim’s shop or not?
Answer
If some non-Muslim buys a slaughtered animal at the slaughterhouse, brings it to his shop and sells it, and it is supervised in such a way that there can be no possibility or risk of any other meat not sanctioned by the Shari‘a being in it, then buying from him is valid.
