Handshake on Eid

Question

If somewhere there is fear of fitna (strife), may one there, on Eid, embrace along with the handshake, or not?

Answer

What fear of fitna is there? Will they beat you or send you to prison? At the very most they will say a few remarks — and those they say even now.
