The Deceased Meeting Those Who Died Before Him

Question

After death, does a person meet those who died before him, or not? And does the thought of the world occur to him, or not?

Answer

The thought of the world does occur. If the deeds are good and the account is clear, permission is granted to meet everyone; otherwise he remains in punishment. And he wishes to meet the people of the world, but after the questioning the angels say to him: [ar]نَمْ كَنَوْمَةِ الْعَرُوسِ[/ar] “Sleep as a bride sleeps”, that is, sleep in comfort like a bride.
