The Connection of the Deceased with the Living
Question
Does the deceased retain any connection with his parents after death?
Answer
It does — in this way, that the deceased is informed of their deeds: if the deeds are good, the soul of the deceased rejoices, and if the deeds are bad, it grieves, and that soul prays for their reform. And this connection is not particular to the parents; rather it remains with all relatives and acquaintances.
